Who actually files the patent?+
Under Indian law, only a registered patent agent or patent attorney can file and prosecute patent applications. We partner with registered agents — Manna Biotech provides the scientific, technical, and project-management layer.
How long does the process take?+
A provisional filing can happen within weeks. Complete specification filing typically takes 1–3 months. Indian examination can take 2–5 years; expedited examination options exist for startups and certain categories.
What about publications before filing?+
Publishing your invention before filing can destroy novelty and kill your patent. Always consult us (or a patent agent) before submitting a paper or public presentation on your invention.
